OMG - HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BAND FILL!!!

I was nervous today, as I had to go and had my first fill. Was really looking forward to it, as Ive been REALLY hungry, BUT I wasnt planning on it being so painful!

Doctor Dolan was very happy with my over 10 kilo loss which I am, but OMG having that needle stapped into you, then he couldnt get it into the port, Whilst my legs are up in the air, tugging on my tummy muscles (which I dont have) , changed needles part way through, moved it around heaps. He even said at the end, with blood dripping "look at what you have done to my needle" (it was beant as) - with sweat pouring off my forehead after the stomach excercises, Im surprized I didnt pass out!

Apparently my scar tissue was really dense, it was gross I could hear it. I thought I would have a little pain relief, and have read, every seems to say its a breeze. I feel like someone has punched me in the chest area, and feel tight, its gross.

Anyhow its done now, and hopefully in a few days I will be feeling better!

 <- here's a big cheer up smile for you.

My friend found that her first fill was one of the most painful experiences of her life as well, and very uncomfortable. I was terrified when I went in for mine, but it was painfree and easy, I think it does have a lot to do with how you have healed and how close your port is to your scar tissue. My friend and I had the same surgeon but my port is a lot further from my scar tissue.

My friend recovered from her first fill over a few days and she's been back for a second and third fill since then and she was fine for those :-)

Happy recovering thoughts ;)

Mine also was an issue the first time too. I was jabbed 3 times in 3 different places and he moved it around inside me heaps. I seriously considered not going back and this was all done with a scanner's help. Now he can do it in an office without all the drama so it will improve with weight loss.

What time were you there? I had my second fill with him today, got into the car park and chucked up, went back in but he didnt want to take any out. Have stopped throwing up now though. He got mine in right the first time, he was in and out in seconds, my first fill took longer than that. My chest pain has gone now, it wont last long, if that helps.

Poor thing, my first was fine. But I had my second fill on Tuesday and it hurt like crap. Nowhere near as bad as yours but where the needle went in is bruised. But I think its def's helped me. So I just focus on that.

You'll be back on track soon and hopefully you next fill won't be so traumatic mate.
