  2. Thanks for the reply Sounds like you did well until your band slipped. That's great your going in on the 6th mines on the 14th. you will have to post after your operation when you get the chance and lets us know how you went and any tips from your experience. Having the extra support with your sister that's fantastic. This time around I have my husband which is great with the support of another person will make it so much better then doing it on your own. I wish you both the very best of luck and can't wait to hear how you both go. Thanks Susan
  3. Hi I have not been on here for a long time. I just had my band removed last Tuesday and I am having the sleeve operation on the 14th of November. I had problems with the band having had 2 operations as the nursed put holes in the tube when having a fill. Not much luck in losing weight which was my fault as I was drinking ice breaks (ice coffee) which I gave up about 6 weeks ago which I never thought I could lol. I am very proud of myself and now I have a very good chance of being successful at losing weight. My husband is having the sleeve operation in 2 weeks so we can support one and other I am very excited about it. I have researched the sleeve and if anyone could please give me some hints and tips I would be most great full. my husband starts pre op diet on Tuesday which I will be doing with him. so any advisewill be most welcome Thanks in advance Susan

    hi not a first timer

Hi Well I am not a first timer on here. I had my band done over 3 years ago.. I never really made any head way losing weight I drank a lot of ice breaks very bad news .. truth be known I really think I just was not ready I made a lot of excuses for myself lol ..... well I going to really give it a go this time.. so I going to call it my first time because I am ready.. I still need to go get a fill which I should have done by next week yay... but in the mean time I watch what I eat and I exercise.. I have joined a weight management clinic .... they weigh you and you do a food diary so it keeps you accountable.. and this is what I need ...... also its the support I really need that to I have a long hard road a head of me.. but its a road worth going down...

    Back again

Hi I am not new to this site. I was banded oct 2011. I haven't lost weight because i drink ice breaks . I went back to the doctor yesterday for a fill .(haven't been for 8 months) I've decided i want to start over again . This is my new start my husband wants me to kick the ice break habit so does the doctor. I want to also. Its easier said then done but I want this band to work for me . I know its not easy but I have to be honest I have not really given the band a fair go. Time to lose. lol Sue
