    Short Term Option?

Hi there I am 28 years old and am quite overweight, I have been for most of my life. I have tried for the last 10 years to lose weight and have on occasion been a little bit successful. The last time being in 2014 when I lost 23kgs before a trip to Europe. Since returning in September 2014 I have gradually regained the weight and just a month ago ticked over to 2kgs just below the starting weight I had been in early 2014. About 6 years ago I injured my back and haven't been the same since. In 2014 when I lost the weight, my back was in a good place and I was able to work through it to lose the weight. Unfortunately now, the muscles in my back just aren't coping, I am always in pain and I am feeling trapped. I know if I could lose weight than that would help my back and I could build up the muscles in my back but in order to lose weight I know I need to be able to exercise and yet it is so painful to do so. It's a vicious cycle that I don't know how to break. Hence I am considering the surgery. I will not do the sleeve or the bypass surgery but I feel like I could consider the band as then it can be reversed. Which brings me to why I am writing. I know that I have the mental capacity to lose weight and if it wasn't for my back I know I'd be able to do it. But I'm out of options it feels like and the band seems like the last resort. I don't want to live with the band forever though and in fact would only want it for about a year and then have it removed. Has anyone else done this? Will the surgeons be willing to do this? I feel that with the band's assistance for a year I will be able to get myself healthy and active enough to then continue on my own. The other reason for the time frame is because my husband and I are going to be moving overseas next year and I would prefer to have it removed before we leave. I would like to hear any advice or suggestions so please don't hesitate to reply. Thanks so much
