Hi all, It's been a while since I checked in here. Rlar like you my weight loss has certainly slowed. I'm down from 122kg to 101kg. Can't wait to hit the double digits! I'm at about 5.5ml in my 10ml band. Any time I get sad about my slowing weight loss I look at pics I took of my body pre surgery and realize just how far I've come! Hope all the Marchies are doing well

Hi everyone. Haven't cchecked in for a while - so great to see everyone is doing well! Currently have 4.5ml in my band Started at 122kg and am down to 108kg Lost 7cm on my hips and 11th on my waist so far. Last couple of weeks have been a bit slow on the loss according to the scales, but my measurements tell a different story!

So glad to hear everyone is doing well! I'm at 4ml now and this is the first time I've felt restricted since being banded, it's fun! Down from 122kg to 122kg as of today

Welcome Chevy! I had my first fill also 2 weeks ago - and it hurt a lot. My doctor missed the port and put the needle into some scar tissue. He was very apologetic, but it was extremely painful. Once he got the needle into the port it was fine. I'm only at 2ml now and feel like I have no restriction at all. Back this Thursday for more fill. In saying that though I've lost 3kg since my last fill. Didn't allow myself any eggs or hot cross buns over easter, and have stuck to my daily running. Have lost a total of 12.5kg since March 1st when I stated optifast.

How is everyone going pre-fill? I'm one week out from a fill and my appetite is back in full force. I feel like I have no restriction at all at the moment. Can't wait for a fill!

Got off my butt this week and started working out. Been walking 3km each night, and tonight I did some intermittent runs too. For anyone trying to get back into excercise I reccomend the 5k runner app. It teaches you how to run a non-stop 5k over 8 weeks of training! Very motovational and easy to start off on. Hope everyone is doing well

So good to see that everyone is losing weight and doing well post-surgery. But it does make me concerned that I've pretty much lost nothing since being banded (this is week 3). I'm DEFINITLEY eating less, and I'm eating clean healthy food. My surgeon keeps telling me not to worry and I'll lose after my first fill... Might ramp up the excercise this week and see how it goes.

It gets easier ladies I promise! I'm on day four of mushies, no more shoulder pain or that annoying 'stitch like' pain in my chest. Haven't had any issues with mushies going down at all. My body HATED liquids, and I was having serious issues being 'backed up'. I started taking a tea called 'Alpine Tea' which is an all natural tea to help your digestion. It's amazing! Worked way better than benefiber or Movicol. I didn't lose any weight during liquids which was really disheartening, but have lost half a kilo since starting mushies. Starting to get an appeitite back, and booked in for a fill in 2 weeks. Hang in there ladies, the liquid phase is hard but it's easy going after

Jelly I'm exactly the same! 2 weeks tomorrow post op and haven't lost anything since surgery. My surgeon swears this is normal, but it's a bit disheartening. Apparently because your body was in starvation mode for a while, as soon as you start having nurishinh fluids (even if few) it starts storing it. Starting mushies tonight. I can't wait! First fill is booked for 2 weeks time, hoping to lose at least some post op weight by then (I've managed to keep off the 8 I lost in optifast at least!)

    Alcohol post banding

Thanks eggzsy! I'll be 2 weeks post banding Friday and have an event Saturday that I'd like to have a couple of drinks at. I asked my surgeons nurse today and she said 1 drink max, but I don't see the harm as long as it's fairly low calorie/low bubbles and I've stopped my pain meds about 12 days ago by Sat
