    May 2018 sleevers and bypassians

I got home yesterday afternoon. I'm still quite nauseous and a bit sore. I'm sipping while awake and walking around the house. My stomach is grumbling but I don't think I'm hungry. It's a weird feeling. I weighed myself and I've gained a little but I would say that's all the gas. I've taken my anti nausea med but it hasn't done much.

I'm ok. Woke up in recovery feeling like a bus had hit me. Not as bad now. Surgeon found an internal hernia down low from my c sections so one day I'm going to need to fix it. I keep waking up. Managing to sip sip sip but omg the heartburn! Plus sometimes it feels weird. I just want to gulp as my mouth is so dry.

I took mine off just in case the hospital make me take them off. I don't want them sitting in a drawer.

Everyone has to at this hospital. It varies hospital to hospital. With my daughter I had to use antibacterial wash but not in my hair prior to c section but with my son just a shower morning of but no antibacterial wash.

I feel great except my voice is nearly gone. I need to get home shave everything, shower with antibacterial wash and get ready for a 2.45am wake up (I need to wash with antibacterial wash yet again including hair so want to dry my hair).

If I'm allowed to tie my hair I will. When I had my daughter via c section I wasn't allowed my hair tied up even though my hair elastic was metal free.

I'm up for the day so 2 more sleeps! I'm trying to get as much cleaning and preparation done as possible. I keep forgetting things at the shops so have to go back again! I'm having my nails and toenails done today which can't come quick enough as I broke a nail Friday and have been wearing bandaids to hide it. Suitcase is just about packed. Come on Thursday!

So I called and was told it should be fine but the anaesthetist will make the call on the day depending on how my airways are.

    The final countdown

So I've only got 6 more sleeps to go! It's finally single digits!! I've been shopping and bought a small suitcase on wheels, pjs, jumpers, knickers and last time I bought things like slippers. Next step is make soup. I've got a few things like Powerade zero and herbal teas but I will need soup. I'm so excited as well as scared. Anaesthesia always scares me. I couldn't be happier about my decision. I've run into some family drama regarding my decision and what will be my new way of eating. It's my life and if their world revolves around food then I just won't catch up with them. Typical Europeans where it's all about eating until you're stuffed. Im excited about the way my life and body is going to transform. I can get out of leggings and track pants back into jeans and fashionable clothes. Right now I'm confined to my bedroom while my husband helps our kids make something for Mother's Day. I'm really looking forward to seeing everything they are planning to surprise me with. Until Thursday I will continue counting down.

Depends on your anaesthetist. I've always been able to wear my acrylics if the nail beds were clear. Toe nails painted also fine. I had my ecg and pre admission today. Not happy. 115.6kgs. So basically I've only down 2.4kgs. I don't get it.

And I've lost it again but not lost any extra. Scales do some weird things. I just need to focus and persevere.

Any Protein Powders recommended for Sleeve Post-OP?

My dietician specified per serve 10 grams or less of carbs and 20 grams or more of protein. My husband orders from bulk nutrients and I've tried their protein powders. Per serve is 23 grams protein and 1.6 of carbs.

    Please help - buyers remorse

Are you chewing your food well and cutting it into tiny portions? 30 chews per bite I think it is. I haven't had my surgery yet but have been told food can get stuck if you're not careful.
