  10. Please, remember, folks, that any information that you seek and post does not substitute the directions, guidance, and advice from the health professionals under whose care you are, e.g. qualified - and experienced in bariatric surgery - dietitians. They are the ones to guide you along every path of the way - of pre- and post WLS.  And it is up to YOU to be proactive.  Research, research, research.  Check out previously posted  "FAQ".  Other posters on this website comment's does not replace that of qualified - and experienced - professionals.  Please - follow the professionals advice.  (And, not intending to, nor meaning to offend/upset/nor to be taken the wrong way, it's up to YOU to be "proactive", and implement "The Six Ps" - "Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance").

  11. Just want to remind folk that Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) is just a tool.  YOU have to honest and accountable with yourself. YOU need to own up to your emotions, behaviours, and actions rgarding food.  What.  When.  How much.  No point in "down the track" blaming someone else. "Suck it up".  Be honest and accountable.  All I can say is that the younger folk now aren't fighting what our older ones have - in the interest of better health, better fitness, more 'acceptable' physique.  Stoopid 1970s, 1980s , 2000s, 2010s.  Been there, done that.  Stoopid "low-fat" paradigm.  Stoopid Ancel Keys.

DRINKING MORE WATER REDUCES SUGAR, SODIUM AND SATURATED FAT INTAKE.    "The researchers conclude their study by noting that "promoting plain water intake could be a useful public health strategy for reducing energy and targeted nutrient consumption in US adults, which warrants confirmation in future controlled interventions." http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/307306.php?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=56dbf3eb04d30109f9786dd0&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook

  20. Improved diabetes control with new diet

Adelaide researchers have developed a diet and exercise program which has proven to be highly effective in reducing the burden of type 2 diabetes, with an average 40 per cent reduction in medication levels.

The diet incorporates an eating pattern that is very low in carbohydrates and higher in protein and unsaturated fats.
