    Preop Optifast not Working

100% normal, please stick with it! whilst you may not see early results on the scales it will be making a difference to your liver. You will also probably find that after the 1st week you see a big shift in numbers, but remember they are only numbers and the really important thing is shrinking your liver to make the operation safer. Keep up the good work!

Banded 4 yrs and heavier now.

100% in the same boat, I knew it wasn't going to be an easy road but it is so hard to get back on track again.

    Protein Powder - Perth

Try Venom protein, I haven't tried the flavored ones, I get the plain one, it's a good price and they ship Oz wide.

    Accountability

Well done you for recognizing this and putting the brakes on early.... I wish I had been as in control. 2016 was a tough year for me emotionally and I have regained all my weight, so I too need to be accountable, and like you have done here make a list of what has led me off track. Thanks for posting

So.... i think they left something in me?

I would guess it is a suture (stitch) many of them are made to disolve, but for one reason or another sometimes they don't. They come in various materials , some look like rope some are like fishing line, and they can be blue, purple, clear or white just to name a few. I wouldn't stress too much but get the wound checked out when you can, either by your GP or back at the surgeons. Leya x

Condemned for a piece of fruit

That's is very poor practice, what a B...H!! I am sorry to hear you have had to go through this, it's just not right. You have the band as a tool to tackle your weight problem, you are not sitting on your bum, eating everything in sight complaining about your weight and doing nothing about it! Like you said, it's a mandarin NOT a big mac. Screw her!!

    Breast Reduction Surgery

Looks wonderful, very happy for you my dear....... 5 days is quite a long hospital stay, glad to hear you are home and improving everyday..... and well done to your surgeon for doing the extra work under your arms, he is obviously a bit of a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a surgeon! Can I ask his name?
  11. I work in theatre at Peninsula Private, let me know when you are booked in..... I will come and say hello
  12. can I ask what day you a having your surgery?

    Adolescent Daughter to be lapbanded

@Stacey72, if you would like someone to support your lovely daughter and be a kind of 'band buddies' to her I would love to offer her my help. I have struggled with my weight all my life, I am 31 and almost a year out from banding I am finally happy and confident in my own skin, I am not skinny, and I never will be, but I feel great and would love nothing more then to help another girl find her happy self. If you would like to take me up on the offer, let me know, I can give you my email and phone number and answer any questions or provide some support from both a fellow bandit and a professional (nurseing) point of view. Goodluck Daisy girl Leya xox

    Counting down the days

100% right.... we all cheat at some point, but own it, get over it & don't beat yourself up about it!!! Just get back on track and try again. I think of my band as a 'handbrake' it slows me down, and reminds me to keep on track, but it alone won't stop the train wreck if I go off track.... I need to work with it too, but bloody hell, when we work together the results are wonderful.
