    July 2012 Bandits

Well feeling a lot better today 😊 had half a single serve tin of tomato soup for breakfast and I'm sooo full!! How bizarre! Start on puréed foods tomorrow for one week then mushies... I am craving mashed potato like never before. Everyone else in the family is eating as normal but it's funny how I look at their plates now and think how massive that portion is!! Sucked the flavour off 3 Doritos chips last night while watching a movie with hubby!!! LOL!!! Still have pain by my port but I'm also just tight n uncomfortable but lots of sleep is really helping. Scared to step on the scale in case it hasn't changed tho!

Good luck today Danni. It will all be fine. When I woke up I just remember saying over and over again " did u put my lapband in?" because it felt like a minute or two went past plus I have a confession to make - I barely stuck to the optifast diet n I just ate healthy n my doc congradulated me after on how well I had done on the optifast cause my liver was nicely shrunken!!!! I was so worried about that! Besides being awake in hospital now at 4am.... I'm feeling pretty great. Just wish the gas would come out one way or the other LOL!!

Everyone is soooo nice. I have a tightness around my ribs, some shoulder pain but mainly I'm just tired. It's more an aching than a pain really. Off to sleep again guys. Will get on again tomorrow good luck to everyone else n thanks for all the awesome support xxx

well my super finally got approved so now i am waiting for the money to hit my account which my super fund have told me will take up to 10 working days so i have had to push my date back to the 19th which im a bit bummed out about but im told i only have to do the diet a week before so i guess my birthday will be my last supper........ kind of appropriate!! it also means that i have have a few drinks tonight for state of origin. im getting nervous and i just wish i had it over and done with already so i didnt have to keep thinking about it. im worried about how i am going to take my antidepressant meds after surgery if i cant swallow them......crush them up i guess??? im buying 50 shades of grey this week to take to the hospital too so i thought that was funny when i read your posts!! ok so i was supposed to be banded this time next week but now the countdown is on for the 19th so 15 sleeps............. i hope it flys by...........

hey everyone...... well after 6 months of planning and postponing i am now officially getting banded on the 11th July.......... my 36th birthday!!!! the receptionist said "i could think of plenty of other things i would like to do on my birthday" and i all i thought was................ i cant!!!! I KNOW I KNOW............. it sounds crazy but i have been waiting so long and then when i was told the date available and it was my birthday i figured it has to be a sign or something......... like a reborn to my new skinny life. I am nervous but mainly excited. My hubby works in the mines so he wont be home for it but my best friend is going to help out with looking after my kids so its great to have her support but im not really telling anyone else besides them except for one girl ive known forever that had it done and was an enormous success my superannuation should be sorted out today. ive actually started telling my kids (11 and 8) what i am having done in an age appropriate way so they understand and they wont get confused about why im not eating like normal. my 8yr old is already having kids at school carry on about their weight (and she is skinny!) so i dont want her to think that i lost all the weight simply because i stopped eating and that it was a big deal. i dont want her to have any sort of issues with food. they have taken it really really well. my hubby is very supportive and im pretty lucky im still very very very nervous and excited. starting my optislim diet on monday.......... started it a week ago then went off the rails and had a bit of a take away melt down and the funny thing is i normally dont even eat that much take away!! mourning the foods i guess. im going to miss my coke zero the most i reckon!!!! oh im having it with Dr Baxter on the sunny coast at Kawana hospital.................... self funding...................... cant wait!!! 11 sleeps to go!!!!!
  10. oh crap! ok so ive just read this whole thing and i knew i was going to hear how all the things i love i probably wont be able to tolerate after my surgery but what i didnt know about is that whole PB thing and as funny as it was......... gross! Anytime i think of testing myself and eating a hash brown ill chant in my head - do you wanna spew up a jellyfish today??? So here is my goodbye list to all my oldest dearest friends - i know we have been there for each other but you are the reason I am doing this and you will now be deleted from my friends list Goodbye Pizza shapes and Gerkin Dip Gorgeous blue cheeses and crusty bread rolls with wine Coke Zero - you will be missed every day Pastas of any sort - Lasagne Maccas Noodle Box Nasi Goreng Hot Chips with chicken salt Pizzas Pies Grilled Garlic Turkish Bread Toobs Popcorn ILL MISS YOU MY DARLINGS.............. Ok............. im exhausted from all the crying...... im off to sit in the fetal position in the corner and rock back and forth for a few hours Have a great day everyone!

    Sunshine Coast Newbie

Hey gang! I have my first appointment to see Dr Baxter on Friday. I am sooo excited and nervous OMG!!! I also live at Sippy Downs! I was wondering if you can give me some goss on the doc and how quickly it will take for me to get the surgery if i have my apt with him on Friday? should i start on the optislim drinks now??? omg im going to miss my foods but i need to do this and ive tried sooo many other things. I was always floating around on 50kg (im only 153cm tall) and could eat just about anything i wanted to whenever i wanted to until about 7 years ago when I had some issues with depression and anxiety and them BAM! Now i eat a pea and i put on 2kg........... its soo unfair and ive tried ww, lite n easy (still on that now), atkins, liver cleansing diet, rapid loss (blerk thats nasty) soup diets etc etc. I like eating healthy, Im pretty good at it actually and i remember practically praying (to what i dont know cause i dont believe in god) that my thyroid test would come back positive so they could fix me that way but no.... my thyroids are perfectly chunky and healthy like the rest of me...... little a$$holes!!! Im chunked up to 95.4kg right now at my heaviest and remember I am short so it doesnt sit nicely on me at all. Im 35 and mum of two. Looking through pics of myself yesturday with the kids and even after I had them I was sooo thin straight away. So this is it. I just want it all to start already! So anyway thats my ranting on for today...... Everyone like Dr Baxter?????
