I'm new here and new to having the lap band. I was banded on 14 April this year in Tasmania. In the first week I shed 6 kgs which was great, It felt great as I was so swollen in my belly it hurt to eat (or drink as it was). ðŸ˜‰ Now, after 4 weeks I'm finding I'm looking for food again and not always eating healthy things. I devoured some chocolate earlier, I'm definitely an emotional eater and definitely need the restriction that the lap band gives. I see the dr this Thursday for my first fill. My question is this. What is the usual first fill amount to go in, and from your experience did it really help to bring the cravings and hunger back in check? I actually really enjoyed hearing my tummy rumbling those first couple of weeks, I'm hoping the fill will give that again, and take away the desire for the bigger meals again.
