Dr Clement Tsang

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I met Dr Tsang at the Medico centre in Hurstville. Just wondering if anyone else has had their procedure done there? Also how was Dr Tsang as a surgeon? I live near the Sutherland Shire and would love to meet with anyone in the area. I'm seriously considering getting the procedure. I have so many questions and would love to keep getting information from anyone who has had the lapband surgery.

Thanks,

BJ42

Hi Bee,

How is it all going?

Were you very happy with Dr Tsang. I'm booked in with him but finding the details a little haphazard. Did you book your own dietition?

How many appts did you have with Dr Tsang before your surgery?

Thanks so much,

BJ

Hi BJ,

I sorry for the late reply! I thought Dr Tsang was great and everyone at the Surgery Centre in Hurstville was brilliant, my stay there couldn't have been any better.

I met with Dr Tsang first and booked my surgery, then met with Liz the dietician after that (but before the surgery). The cost of the surgery includes this appt with Liz and also 2 appts after the surgery.

My weightloss has been slow which at times has been frustrating but steady which is good (I just have to keep reminding myself that!).

Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help!

Bee

Hi Bee,

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm seeing Dr Tsang today in the city. I was hoping to see him at Hurstville as it's so much easier to get there. I have an appt with Liz the dietitian next week in the city- which I was hoping would be at Hurstville too. I'm hoping if there are enough patients needing lap band fills that Dr Tsang will do them at Hurstville in the near future. I'm still debating with myself whether to get the lapband or sleeve. I'm booked in for surgery on September 17th. Thanks for the discussion. It's really helping with my decision:)

Cheers,

BJ

Hi BJ,

Things are going well and yep have had a few fills. The weight loss is still quite slow but still coming off so I guess that's the main thing!

How are you going?

Hi Bee,

I went well with my surgery. Was more painful than I thought. I'm trying to get my scars healed. 4 scars are good. 1 scar is about 4cm and seems a bit raised. Hopefully will settle down soon ready for bikini wearing- heehee. My post op with Dr Tsang went well. Was a tad surprised that he charged me $100 for visit though as other doctors had this as part of their package. I have my first fill on 28th of October booked. That will be exciting and hopefully not painful. I think I will go to the X-ray centre in the city with Caroline??? Who did your first fill? Was it painful at all? I really like Liz the dietition and will keep visiting her in the future.

Would you want to meet up at all? I'm happy if you do or don't? I live near Helensburgh.

Cheers,

BJ

Hi BJ and Bee,

I have not been on here in forever and just though I'd check in:)

I'm glad that your op went well bj, I hates recovery but it was well worth it :)

My weight loss has been going well, since my op on the 14th April, I have lost 28kg. I started at 104 and am now 76/77... I can't remember the last time I weighed this much!

I haven't had a fill in about 3 months but I think it's nearly time for me to go back for a checkup!

How are you going Bee?

Hi BJ,

Not long now till you get your first fill! Don't worry about it, you won't feel a thing. Caroline will give you a local anaesthetic so you'll feel a little prick with that but then after that you won't feel anything that she does! I found that my stomach is really quite sensitive and so I actually can't have solid food for a couple of days but other people can have solid foods pretty soon after. If I were you, I'd start with liquids and then maybe some mushies and then slowly start to try solids.

I'd love to catch up! I'm in the Eastern Suburbs so maybe somewhere in the middle? Send me a private massage and we can work something out.

Katie! What an amazing achievement!!! I'll send you a message!

Bee

Hi guys,

I am a newbie contemplating a sleeve and have an appt with Dr Tsang next week. I have so many questions to ask but most importantly, how do I tell hubbie? I have underlying PCOS and expect to become diabetic in the future. We went through IVF last year ending 2013 with a miscarriage. I have decided I want to take control of my body/mind/hormones once and for all before we start trying again for children although time is ticking....

Hey! I'm stef, I had a consult with dr Tsang and it was such a waste of money, he didn't even have the decency to put his phone on silent and away and give me his full attention! Didn't even close the door, or take proper measurements such as weight and height, he seemed so uninterested in my appointment as he made be wait upto 40 minutes to be seen. I personally think he is a douche bag and wouldn't revoke d seeing him, I would recommend Dr Kuzinkovas, he is a specialist in this field and he is amazing I have surgery booked in January and both my sisters have gotten it done with him also.

I kind of felt that way with him too... this is why I'm trying to find someone who has had the sleeve done through him as I want to change my band over to the sleeve... but thinking if I should go else where...

Hi

I have found he doesn't have the best bed side mannerisms however he appears to really know his stuff. He is very factual with information.

He has alot of experience in this surgery as well which is what made me feel more confident.

He repaired a hernia during my surgery which I didnt know I had & never charged me for the additional part of my surgery like most specialists do.

Hope this helps
