Mine is a 6ml band called The Minimiser - my doc told me. I have 1.75ml of fill after 3mths and am finding that a good level of restriction currently.
Doctor indicated he might put some fill in while I was having the band put in - but he didn't end up putting in any until I was two mths banded (1.5ml) and my last appt I had another 0.25ml put in.

Mine is http://www.erkmedika...m/files/ifu.pdf with an 11ml capacity. I already have 9mls so I am sweating a bit if it runs out of roomPosted Image
I think I'm very close now to sweet spot and am seeing the surgeon in a week and a half. I won't do anything but keep the status quo as I leave for the US in 2 weeks and don't want to end up in hospital over there!!

Ok I've asked three times at my surgery what type of band I have and how much fill it will hold.
The standard response is
Lap-Band AP System Small.
So once again I still don't know the answer about how much fill it will hold.
I'm becoming most frustrated.
Does anyone know the answer to this???

LIke Ozchick I am scared of running out of room and still having no restriction. I have a 12 ml capacity (don't know brand or type as I didn't get the card that all of you got) and have 8 ml in, in 3 fills. Have heard of people that never get to the green zone! Very worried.

I have 6.8ml in an 8ml band so I'm starting to get nervous as to wether I'll get enough restriction from this band cos it hasn't happened yet

i have 7.6ml in a 11ml band, this is after 2 fills and wasnt due back for 5 weeks but think i might go next week for a bit more as im getting more feelings of wanting to search for food in the afternoon.
my surgeon called my band the sweedish band - thats all he said it was, not sure if there is a more technical name for it

Mine is a 12ml band.. thought I heard a mumble of "swedish" at my last fill but I have no idea. Currently have 8ml in and think I am close to my sweet spot.

Bumping this up for new bandits ..to remind everyone not all bands are the same and not all doctors put fills in when they fit the band...
I didn`t need a fill for about 2 months after the band and had no fill in it at the operation....

Do you know what type/brand...there seem to be many types and most surgeons decide at the time of the surgery which one to use...

It doesn't matter what size band you have or how much fill, it is what works for you. What works for one is not going to work for others. It is when you get to the staqe that you are controlling your eating that is correct for you, no matter how much or little fill you have. Some people do it with 1ml some need 8ml. Just as we all have different shoe size and bra size, we will all have different fill size that works for us.
