Hi, yes I have just had mr first appt with Dr Mosse, he seems a nice man
Just had a fill, been needing one for ages but with my recent relocation to Canberra I had to wait quite a while for an appt to see Dr Mosse, I'm guessing he is popular right?
Am now hopeful that I can lose the kilo's I have re-gained in the past year
I will look forward to meeting the bandit gang in ACT, there is a very active one in WA
Best wishes to all of you!
Jill

They are all lovely at Canberra Bariatric and so supportive. I like that they promote a holistic approach, that it's more about the health benefits and the weightloss is a measure of how people are travelling.
Yes, Dr Mosse is VERY popular, he set up the clinic and is regarded in the industry as a genius. I see Dr Gananadha (Siva) as I could get my surgery quicker with him. He's terrific too
Now that you have made contact with Canberra Bariatric, I'm sure you will succeed. I think that making the contact and going back for fills and follow ups is vital for success (at least that's what they have drummed into me anyway). I like that you can pay an annual fee for unlimited access or choose to pay as you go as well. I prefer the annual fee as it is more economical for me to do it that way. The dietitians are good to talk to as well.
The ACT crowd isn't very active socially, we have had 2 meet ups this year so far...just a coffee meet up. I went to the first one but couldn;t make the second one so I don't know who went and how it went.

Yes I noticed how friendly everyone was at the Bariatric rooms. It has been a long time since I had my first band fitted (6yrs ago) I feel as though my whole life has been lived through appointments at the rooms lol
It certainly hasn't been an easy journey and I have had lots of past problems with my band, I am hoping that the new one I had fitted earlier in the year will not give me as many problems.
I will keep an eye out for when the next get-together is happening, hopefully by then I will know my way around Canberra and be able to attend.
Good luck with your lapband journey!

No I haven't. I just called them this morning (first opening day after Christmas) and they said that they hope there is one next Thursday.
