Six weeks ago today I was in recovery
I have lost 4.1 kg since surgery. I am a little disappointed it isn't more but am happy to have lost. On the whole things are going well for me. I have had a few stuck moments due to eating to fast . It seems I am a slow learner. I have had one fill and to be honest not noticing any restriction. Hoping to have another fill next week. Hope everyone else is traveling well.

How's everyone going? I'm finding I've really plateaued.. I'm eating well and exercising lots (just cardio no weights), but finding it really hard to shift any weight.. So annoying!! Going for my first fill on Thursday, hopefully that will do something!!!!

Hi all,
Well, three fills later, I'm still finding the weight loss to be pretty slow. I've got 4.5mls in my band now but haven't really noticed a big difference at all after the last fill. I'm eating really well and moving heaps, but everything is moving so slowly.
In other news, I've been put on a different antidepressant/anti-anxiety med to combat the issues I've had post-banding. I'm still on light duties at work almost 2 months after surgery. It's so annoying - I finally get the physical side working and the mental side falls apart. Every day is a new day though so I'm trying to focus on the good and be positive about things.
Hope everyone else is travelling well.

Hi January Bandits
It has been very quite on this forum from January Bandits so I thought I would send a big hi. How is everyone going. Personally I have been banded two months, had two fills and have lost 10 kls. Still not reached the green zone. Everytime I have a fill the band is tight for a few days and then the hunger returns and I have to keep fighting the urge not to eat more food. I currently have 5.5 mls in a 10 ml band. I am going to Tasmania in May for a few weeks so I think I will only have one more fill and then wait until I get back if I need more. I am a little nervous about flying with the band and restriction so I dont want it to be too tight. I also read that for some unknown reason your band can get tighter in April. Have any of the 12mths and over banders experienced this. If this is the case I may not even have the April fill just in case.

Hi all - haven't been on the site much recently but thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is going. Things are going great with me. After 5 courses of antibiotics, my port infection finally cleared up and I was able to have a fill. First fill was 4 ml in my 7 ml midband, two weeks later have 1 ml added and last week have .7 ml added - so currently sitting at 5.7 ml in my 7 ml band. Weight loss is going well (since getting first fill) and have currently lost 10.8 kg. Think I might be nearing he green zone - feeling good - this was definately the best decision I have made in my life
