Cant comment on the partner thing as my loss was contibuting factor to marriage breakdown but it broken before b anding but.....
If she is having trouble conceiving think about banding prior to preg...I am a midwife and we get ladies who are banded lose 20 - 25 kilo and fall either naturally or via IVF easier. the band staying inplace just not f\illed while pregnant.
