Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the disruption to the site for the last few days. I had to move the site to a new server (a much faster one) and things went a bit pear shaped! I then had to leave for the weekend down to Victoria and couldn't fix it until I got back tonight.

The site is now back, and has been upgraded to the newest version of the system that runs the site, and it should be even easier to use. Feel free to have a look around and if you find any problems or technical glitches, please list them below and I will try to fix them this week. Some things will just be changes to the way the system works (such as the new gallery system) that I can't change, but if I can, I will.

Again, sorry to those who suffered withdrawal over the last few days. Now that the changes are complete, everything should run smooth from now on

I had actually been away til a couple of hours ago so only just found out about the update. It looks ok so far, I'm still getting used to the new layout but so far so good. Thanks soo much for creating this site, I love it. It has been a huge help.

Before someone else raises it, I am aware that when you post a new topic, you get redirected to a blank page. I have the tech support guys working on it now. Your post will still appear on the site, you just get redirected to a blank page.

Replies do not have the same problem, they work fine.

It's been an interesting couple of days. I didn't realise how important this site had become to me until I had a couple of moments over the weekend that only another bandit could have understood. Who to tell?
Firstly, out to breakfast yesterday, my half serve of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on rye toast arrived. I had one mouthful and hit the wall. Ten minutes later I tried again. Still no good. Sent it back. So sad.
Secondly, a friend gave me a gorgeous bottle of French champagne. I had two mouthfuls and abandoned it. The bubbles just didn't work for me. Sigh.......

Like many of the others I was surprised how much i enjoy coming hereand how much i missed it...was a sad few days glad we are back to being a community again and loving the new look....

I too had serious withdrawals! I don't post often but read the threads several times a day and as I finally had some news to share and couldn't I was absolutely busting this morning! Thankyou so much Dave, the site looks great!

I'd been away in Perth for a bit and when I came back tried the site this morning and thought my eyesite had failed! Everything was sooo small. Being very non-computer literate--- luckily my 19 yo son had come back home with me and showed me 'control/scroll' which made the script readable thanks! I did miss the site, it acts a bit as my confidant/conscience etc.The lack of it made me try and reassess my needs--- its a bit of a worry? Still thinking....

I can't seem to find where I can change my avatar now though? Apparently photo and avatar are now one and the same, and just take a litle while to update.
