Hey hey some action at last, nice to hear from you all :D . I am going well and will be going back to get another fill tomorrow as I only have 4.5ml and have noticed that its not much of a handbrake at the moment which I really need. Routine has gone out of the window since losing my job and I am finding it harder to be disciplined. I am lucky to have got some project work to keep me out of mischief in the meantime and have been following up my network and recruiters and rejigging my resume ( which I hate :( ). But have been lucky that I have had some interesting prospects come my way so lets see what happens. I cant say I am missing the politics at work but certainly missing people and my role, but feeling very positive and excited for the opportunities that will present in time. Bougth some winter tunics and leggings to get me through winter in size sixteen and actually could have done with a 14 so life is not bad. cannot weight (ha ha) to get out of the 90's I am on the cusp but my scale must have a magnet set in the 90's cause it doesnt want to budge. Even after I have been to the loo  . anyway guys proud of you all. keep posting love S

Hi Everyone,
Well its been a while so I will fill you all in on the latest.
I had a fill yesterday and now have 5.5 in my band. I am happy with how I am going as I have lost 9.6kilos and feeling great. I have had no vomiting and my stomach and head are now working together. It has taken a while but they seem to be working nicely together. I now know that I need to stop when the head says to and not go that little bit more as this will make me feel very uncomfortable. I think maybe this is the green zone that everyone is talking about so I hope it stays this way and I keep loosing. My thyroid problem does slow it down a bit but thats life and I am still loosing. ;)
I can eat mostly everything except steak and roast chicken. I really miss it as well but it feels like a ton weight in my stomach and I am better off without it. If I cook chicken in a casserole it is ok. No problems with bread or rice but the portion sizes are so much smaller than a few months ago when it was HUGE amounts.
My clothes are now starting to get very loose and I need to go down to the smaller size. My bras are very big and my beautiful daughters gave me some vouchers for Mothers Day so I can buy some new ones. I think I will only get a few clothes at this stage because I know and feel very positive that I will be going down more before the end of winter. :D
Who else is having a few issues with the clothes????? I hope you all are by now.
Its great hearing all the reports of our wonderful FEB Bandits. Keep up the good work and I know we are all glad that we went through all of this. (Thought I would never say this in the early days).
Rose petal I also received a lovely comment the other day from one of my daughters who said "Mum you are starting to look hot" how sweet are our children, they know just what to say.
Bye for now and keep posting all your info. Its great to read and I don't feel alone.

Sara you and I are almost running parallel. I am going for a fill tomorrow and also have 4.5 ml..in a 14 ml band. Just a couple of kilos diff. in start weight. I have 3kg to get below that darn 90..I have cancelled three fills to date..just don't want any discomfort even though I know I basically have little restriction. But I am being good. I allow myself a free day once a week as I believe the system needs that to get it out of flat spots. Good luck with your work prospects.

Hi Lozza good to see you..Like you I have thyroid problem..Hashimotos..I have learnt that the main protein Lepin is low with thyroids. Thats the protein that tells the brain its hungry or not.. Go figure:) We also retain fluids and salt flushes out of body more than norm. So I have bought salt back in (natural sea salt) . I am also not going crazy with fluids. The last thing I have learnt is we lack Selenium. Easy fix two Brazil nuts a day. (no more than 2).
Glutin free is also a plus but I cant quite go there. As for clothes yes loose and holding back on buying just yet. Sill have a few smaller sizes tucked away just waiting for me to get there:)..lastly that Leptin level I mentioned comes up through having a free day and bringing in a few carbs...and good sleep also improves Leptin.

Keep up the great work Guylettes

Cheers

Hello Feb bandees, well I have just come back from getting my 3rd fill now up to 5ml in 10 ml band. last one was three weeks ago and despite the lack of routine etc I have managed to lose an official 3.2 kg in three weeks on the doctors scale, so something must be working :) . Very happy about that, now just need to be a bit firmer on myself and make sure I account for my eating as I have been a bit naughty in the last two weeks and also make sure I get in all my exercise. I have been all over the place since I left my job, but I am getting there. I just find it very hard to get into a routine in between project work, looking for work, meetings and wanting to just pull a blanket over my head (which I havent done yet - pat on the back for me) and wanting to do lots of creative avoidance. . Take care all and keep posting love S

Hi to all the feb bandits, everyone seems to be doing really well, great to hear. I love reading how u are all doing, although l dont know any of u personally l still feel the need to log on every now and again as l do feel connected to u all. I have not had a fill as yet and have lost 18kg's. I havent felt the need for a fill as l havent been feeling hungry and when l do eat its only very small amounts. Might be different on my next visit to doctors though as l am finding that my appetite is beginning to return slowly. I have an appt in 3 weeks time but my doctor did say l could make an appt sooner if l feel l begin to eat too much or the weight loss stops. Several things my body seems to do differently to others from reading other posts one is l seem to get tighter in the evening and l have read most people feel their bands are tighter in the morning. When l get my monthly's l usually eat less, weird how our bodies react differently. I still have trouble with constipation and take duphalax daily and added fibre. I'm very slack on the exercise, never seems to be enough time in the day for it, yeah right big excuse. I really need to buy new underwear, l tried on clothing the other day and l looked side on at my self in the mirror in the change room and omg l didnt realize how baggy in the bum my knickers were....

Take care everyone, cheerio for now,
Leighanne.

Hey everyone... Had a fill today and I can certainly feel this one. I am now at 5mls in my 10ml band.. Doc told me that I am her most difficult patient bc my port goes walkies! It tilts and moves all over the place..not sure how that happens when its stiched in but it does. I can be in the room for 1 hour sometimes (with my two kiddies mind you) and have about 10 -20 puncture holes... sometimes it really hurts and other times it doesnt. I feel so sorry for my doc (very experienced) but she hates hurting me!!..lol.

Didnt have any weightloss and I am not suprised bc I have been on an emotional eating rollercoster of late.. Tonight is the first night I am not searching through the cupboards for what to eat though. Another step closer to that green zone..

Keep posting everyone, even if you havent posted much before.. I am sure we would all love to hear from you and offer you some support alsox

Hey Leighanne Yes Dr Chan and I saw him yesterday..gotta love that drive. Maryvale was fantastic. Although they brought out the Sargent Major to try and stop me from driving home:)) I am guessing that no fill may mean I am in the green zone which is great. Keep up the great work..

Cheers
