Haven't got the dresses yet but they will be black :)

Awesome :D I'm thinking black bridesmaids dresses for my (at the moment nonexistent) wedding too...

Hot hot hot! But they'd only be 5 minute shoes for me. Am checking out the website for other options though.

Okay, no one has asked. are those red stunners for you or the bridesmaids? Cause I would so love to see a bride rocking out in a pair of shoes like that.

Kelly - those shoes are beautiful!
And Beebop - CUTE!!
Rach - black is so much more versatile - it's not like everyone can't pull off a little black dress again. Then you don't feel so bad asking them to pay for a dress they'll probably use again and again.

The shoes are for all of us - bridesmaid and bride, although I am open to different styles if I find a dress they don't suit.
I am planning on getting the girls all haviana thongs too so when we're traipsing through the vineyard for photos etc they don't muddy up the heels. Also for when their feet inevitably quit from the pressure of the heels.

I also got these today in the mail. Same site again. :)

I found these shoes and fell in love. My very first reaction was that these were the shoes I wanted to get married in. I asked my partner of 11 years to marry me that night, he said no, but I bought the shoes today anyway. Come Feb 29, I'll ask again and I'll have the shoes then so he will have little choice. Bwahahah.

Ooooh cute shoes!!!! DO IT. Get married in whatever feels like you!

On another note, thank goodness for my band. It saved me from looking like a whale in front of the media circus at my brother's funeral.
Here is a cute dress I got on asos.com that I'm wearing at work today. Love it!

Beth. That dress is hot. I went to ASOS to buy one but they only have it in a size 14 :( I'm still in the 18/16 ball park and I would just cry if it arrived and couldn't wear it.

Mel - there is elastic panels in the back if that helps!? Mine is a 12, but I don't think they're a small make.
Sal - They were actually quite respectful, I really shouldn't complain. Maintained a distance of 20 metres from us at all times, and all the satellite vans had to connect through the church's TV network so no reporters in the actual service.
It could've been much worse. Lots of photos though. Thankfully I managed to hide behind the tall people.. like my fiance! I had a LOT of people looking out for me that day. Perks of having lived there.. lots of friends. :)

So good to hear that they kept a little distance.
So important to have people looking out for you, nothing beats friends! Sometimes there are huge advantages to being a little shorter than the crowd.
Did you grow up on the Northern Beaches??

I was born in Baulkham Hills and my parents moved to Perth when I was 18 months. Didn't move back to Sydney til I was 20 - lived on the Northern Beachs there from July 2003 to December 2007. Miss it every day! Don't regret moving though - moved to Melbourne to be with Stu, then to Canada, then to Adelaide, and now Perth!! Hopefully on to New York after we get married too. I know a lot of people who would love if we moved back to the Northern Beaches though... I would love to!!

Wow you have moved around a bit!! The Northern Beaches are a pretty special place!! A move to the big apple sounds exciting!! Is that a long term plan or go for a couple of years and see?? Perhaps you could make the Northen Beaches your long term home down the track?? :D

Just an update... Yesterday I tried on wedding dresses for the first time, and I fit into all of them. I was so happy. No squishing, sucking in, holding my breath, they all fit! And they were size 12. I felt amazing. I still have some weight to lose, but with the wedding in November and my next fill a few weeks away, I'm feeling positive and very excited!!

Looking forward to my fill on Tuesday - way too much munching going on. BUT I took this today, this dress is a size 12 and I don't wobble!! 6kgs to go til wedding dress weight. This plateau has lasted WAY too long..
