I am nervous but figure that the benefits of loosing the weight and getting used to the new way of eating is going to take time and I just need to follow the instructions and not get to obsessive about the weight lose at first!. Fingers crossed I dont have any severe reactions to the band and I adjust easily, oh the nicest thing was the nurse told me that I could ring them at anytime if I was unsure of something and needed advice, I find that a huge help to know I do have someone else to refer too!.... Now Matt dont eat too much over the next two weeks get used to the small portions and eating slow..... I feel that it is going to be ace to be able one day buy regular clothing that does not need to be from the big mans store 127 for shorts and 132 for tshirts. I cant wait...

I am being banded by Draper at end of march and am finding the wait really hard now. I've been waiting since I took out my insurance 11 months ago! I have 50 kg to loose and by the time surgery comes around will probably have more to lose as I'm struggling to control my eating at this point due to having things for the 'last time' and feeling sorry for myself. Looking forward to getting in the right headspace soon . I look forward to hearing from more march bandits and thank everyone for such forthcoming advice and encouragement on this site: )

Its in the arvo as there were some issues with getting an Anaesthetist due to some national conference coming up in March/April sometime. I cant wait but Im also apprehensive as I have just started a new job and although they know im keen on doing it in the next 2-3 months I didnt expect to be booked in for 4.5 weeks time. My appointment today was also meant to be on Friday so Im taking between now and next Monday on how to tell work. Also.... my boss knows someone that was banded that needed 4 weeks off work... Im looking at 1-2 weeks max off.

I am toying with starting optifast early to help weight loss but the more I read this seems a little unwise as I may be over it by the time I need to do it pre op.
