A great effort and I have to ask, why do you need a band.
Surely at 106kgs you'd be too light and healthy unless you're 4 foot tall.
When I was tested at 148kgs if I never had bad type 2 diabetes
I was told I wouldn't be suitable for a band.

The GP and my surgeon decided I qualify to have a band, the decision to go ahead is mine, nuff said in my opinion.

I think starting weight is not relevant when deciding to get a band!
The fact that you have reached out before or after your weight has hurdled out of control means nothing, what's important is the fact you have reached out for help and you will succeed in your path for heathy ness...
Good luck hope to see some more great photos after ur banding...
If your wives success is anything to go by you will have amazing after photos

So glad I no longer look as puffy as I do in that pic hehe. Take a good, long look Dingo, and say goodbye to the old you...

Good on ya Dingo for getting banded. And Danielle, you look like a different person in the photo above.

Now to convince hubby to take the same step and get banded

It's a bit tragic when you can look at a fellow bandit's photo - one you've never seen before - and recognise not just the people in it, but where and when it was taken!
I reckon the pic of you and Danielle was Bali 2010. It's a great photo - if you know what I mean.
Whilst Danielle's 2011 Bali pics were sensational, the 'to die for' one will be your family holiday in 2012 - when you are both strong, lean and red hot!
Good luck today!
Kate.

Oh hell. Sometimes I think my brain is at half mast....I didn't realise Danielle and Dingosrun were married....
Good on you both and I agree with Kate - the money shot will be the next holiday when you are both at goal weight.
What a great thing to do together. Hubby is now coming to the gym with me and I love it (he only has 5kgs to lose).
Best wishes, the difference is already very noticeable.

Hi BackinBlack, yep, I barely recognise myself in those pics. Your hubby will no doubt be in awe of your own success, maybe he just needs a gentle nudge :P

Hey Kate, this pic was from Bali 2009, the year before my last trip as a big person. It was hot as hell, and I really felt it. Still hadn't come to terms with my weight issue at that point, as you know it took falling on my daughter the following trip to push me into banding.

Dingo will do very well with his band I am sure, he is very excited, and ready to get on with it.

Danielle I can't wait to read your story in new idea although through this site we already know so much of your story and success... But it will be great to see a well known mag give you the credit you truly deserve.....

Good luck dingo although with a wife like us you clearly r already one lucky man :)

Hi Tamara, thanks, I just hope the story does the band justice, and that it is read with the spirit it was told with.

Dingo just called me and he is doing really well, he said there is no pain, and he feels as good as can be, so it went as well as can be expected. There is no stopping him now!!

Wow, I had no idea the two of you were married. How could I miss gossip as juicy as that. It will be an interesting journey for Paul as he will have so much support but also a lot of pressure to succeed, he has a smokin hot wife he has to catch up to.

I am glad to hear that the surgery went well for him, I can't wait to hear how his progress goes.

Shelle
