Kinda off the banding topic but it if wasn't for my band, wouldn't have lost the weight, gained the confidence and now be here!
It's been such a long time since I've done this dating thing - I need a bit of advice.
If I've asked someone out (via email becasue i chickened out in real person). They have replied yes, I've replied back 'great - here's my number call me'. How long do I give it before i start thinking they aren't gong to call?
Email exchange happened Saturday night, it's now nearly tuesday arvo and nothing.
I've gone from being excited to being nervous but soon I'll have to just not worry about it as have lots of other stuff happening atm.
Any advice???
And yes I'm planning on working on being more patient this year (but I'm leaving darwin in 12 days and don't really have the time to waste)

I would give it until Thursday, if itheres no reply then I would message or email (what ever you want to do) & just say did you receive my email. Some people don't check there emails every day so he may have missed it? Goodluck let us know how you go. Go with the flow, try not to over think the situation.

if you are leaving Darwin in 12 days - whats the point pursuing this one?
If it were me, I would call him and be forward - invite him to dinner or whatever you had in mind.
Some guys need a push and as you say, time is not on your side
oops - golly golly gosh I have no idea why I called you Kylie - sorry

I to am a wild stud wanting to sow my oats now that my diabetes is in remission, I'm looing for anyone who will say yes and what I do is post that I've been banded and focus on that fact alone.
If they don't contact you then just move on the the next willing women, theres plently more fish in the ocean.
Was the contact via a dating site, if so maybe why theres been no more contact is because there scammers just wanting you're money.

I've had a crush on him for a while but only recently got the balls to ask him out - probably becasue i know I'm leaving and it doesn't matter what happens.
i'm not to worried though - i'm just happy i had the confidence to actually do something about it..... anything on top of that is a bonus!
Oh well - got pleanty of other things to worry about with moving.
was talking with my litter sister earlier and said about 'leaving' darwin and she 'no it's not leaving darwin, it's RETURNING to adeliade!' really looking forward to it now.

Call him. then he will know you are serious. You will be able to tell by the tone of his voice how interested he is. otherwise you will always be thinking "What if"
Go for it and good luck.

You've taken the initiative to ask this guy out and then left the ball in his court. It could seem to him like he now has to make the plans, when it should really be you. You did the asking, you have to do the hard work and organise everything.
Take the ball back. Give him a call and have a concrete idea about what you want to do and when, leave a little room for negotiating as he might be (genuinely) busy the night you suggest.
Good luck with it all.
