I just had another fill today after waiting 3 months after having some taken out.... Surprisingly I lost weight instead of gained which I am pleased with but my weight loss has stalled hence the decision to have an adjustment.

Just wondering (I know I should have this sussed by now being banded for a year but...) What does everyone do in the following days after a fill??

Do you just stick to liquids?
Go back to soft food?
or just eat smaller portions?

Unfortuntely on my surgeons advice (eat smaller portions) I have eaten literally 2 forks fulls of macaroni (bad choice of food I know but my son has been sick and this is a winner with him) Since eating that tonight I have PB'd a couple of times but still feel like it is stuck I am having trouble drinking water and am trying to think of how to unstuck my food.... Any suggestions??

I don't want to go back straight away and get it taken out again I would actually like to wait and see if it settles.

All advice would be appreciated but please don't judge me on my silly choices of the night

Eno or diet coke. That stuff will get moving reeeal fast.
(terrible, terrible advice, but it works.)

Haven't had a fill myself yet but was told when I do to gradually go from liquids back to solids over about 2 days. Good luck, hope it settles :)

I get told 3 day of liquids and soft foods then onto normal.

For stuck if you don't have the coke or eno on hand, a spoon of bi-carb soda in water will do the same trick and is not unpleasant in taste. That is the main ingredient in eno anyway

I go back to opti for a couple of days and then mushies for a couple and then back on to solids.

I think perhaps my surgeon thinks because I've had so many fills that perhaps I was ok to have soft foods that night. I'm not sure if I'm over-reacting but I am feeling very restricted today, last night I brought up alot of fluids thinking maybe because of the food which was stuck? But today I have just been sipping water so far and it's still feeling well hard to swallow...

I don't know if I should just suck it up if i've just forgotten what it feels like to have restriction again.... or if I need to have some taken out. Has anyone else ever had this feeling?

I think I may have just gotten used to being comfortable knowing how much I can eat what etc... Perhaps I was a little hasty getting a fill.

Don't know :(

I personally would ride it out for a day or two longer and if it still doesn't losen off then head back to the surgeon. The line between the green zone and red zone is minute with me and if the swelling doesn't go down then you may just need a tiny bit of fill removed.

I also do 2-3 days of optislim, then slushy mushy stuff for another few days before back to normal. I hate getting stuff stuck :-(

So had to go back into see the surgeon yesterday and have fill removed. I spent 2 nights vomiting all liquids and could not keep water down. I'm now back to only 6.75ml in my band... Feels a bit loose but I also need to give it a few weeks before having another adjustment. So I am going to pretend I'm at my goal and eat / excercise accordingly :)

Generally when something gets stuck if you burp it usually makes you bring it up.... Thats about it in a nutshell. You will more than likely experience this at some stage :)
It's not very pleasant. :)
