Just wanting to see some people's typical daily menu. I've been working out some average menus for myself, and when I put in the small portions that I can eat for lunch and dinner, my milk for breakfast and a couple of small snacks, I'm finding it difficult to pass the 600 cal mark, without adding in high cal/low nutrition foods. My aim is for 800-1000 cal per day, so just looking for inspiration from others :) Thanks!

Add three teaspoons 15gms of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, 94 cals and good protein. I have them with my yoghurt or cottage cheese or on a salad. Also LSA, linseed, sunflower and almond - all ground to a meal, again yummy on your yoghurt or breakfast cereal adds calories but good protein so just a small amount.

Light crackers and cheese, three crackers and three small squares of cheese, again around 100 cal and good protein and come in a snack pack so that's all you get.

I will be interested to see what other resposnes you get ...

Mmm, I like the crackers and cheese idea. I use to get that for snacks on the Diet Factory.

1/3 cup of porridge made up with water, I have a serve of yoghurt on top of this for protein/1 weetbix with a cup of milk and some pureed fresh fruit on top/1 scrambled egg on soft toast with some smoked salmon and dill on top/ 1 small can of baked beans on toast

I can of tuna with cottage cheese and 1/2 cup mixed salad and 3 wholegrain vitaweats/2 egg omelette with shredded ham/100g chicken and 2/3 cup of vegetables/ 1/2 cup bean and lentil salad with tuna/chicken/prawns

1 cup of beef/carrot and mushroom casserole / 1 home made patty of bubble and squeak/ 1/2 cup of pasta jar sauce and 80g chicken and half a cup of diced mixed vegetables/ 100g steamed fish with 1/2 cup stir fried salad greens

It is all simple food and my baby eats it too, My hair has been falling out due to lack of protein so I have had to up my protein intake and start taking a multivitamin again - I try not to snack in between my one cup meals - but on 'hungry' days I will usually have one of the diet shakes from Aldi - they are only 69 cents each and equal about 200 cal on their own, and it tends to be in the afternoon and dinner will be late. Hope this helps.

my problem is the opposite - some days are good around the 800-1000 but lately I am consuming 1100-1200 more if i could :o

I have discovered a site that helps plan my meals accordingly www.calorieking.com.au this has been really good in helping me keep things in check

yeah i have been using it since Sunday and it really made me evaluate what I eat. They said I should be consuming 1900cal a day but I set 1200.. Since then I have been consuming around the 1100-1200 mark and weight is starting to move - 2 kg since Sunday.. Perhaps I was so erratic before where somedays I would eat 600-800 and others 2000 my body just didn't know. So now I am keeping the intake regular each day I only wish I found this tool earlier - having said that I am 5 weeks ahead of my personal plan of 30kg by April 1st :D

My total jumps between 600-800 cals/day

Brekkie
Start morning off with sipping gigantic glass of water to clear the slimy sludge out of mr bandie, followed by two chewable multi's
When eventually feel like having something mid morningish I have a Carb-lite protein shake.
Lunch
3-4 (used to only have two but needed to up my cal intake a bit) cruskits generally with light cheesespread or good ol vegemite. Up and go or another protein shake.
Dinner
Forme Yogurt, low cal/low salt soup
Optional snacks/drinks. (only if legitimately hungry)
20grams of sunflower seeds/pepitas
Am a pepsi max addict so usually two a day of those, twice a week I have a freddo frog or similar

Personally I just can't tolerate much else as my band is super sensitive but everyone is different. All unhealthy foods except chocolate I cannot tolerate, meats are impossible to chew small enough (except mince occasionally) all breads and pasta and most starch vegetables (potato/pumpkin) are no go either. I just hate the feeling of food sitting on the band area for some reason and that feeling is the same whether my band is empty or tight! Keep in mind my band is probably a little too tight but thats
my choice for now and it always settles after a few weeks/months post fill.

I suppose I do stomach - lol - a liquid diet better. I was banded in sept 08 and I just want this fat gone now.

Its the one thing stopping my transplant happening!
