Tofu Milkshakes - instant protein

Postby Mason » Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:42 pm

It had been suggested to me to try adding silken tofu to a milkshake. My initial though of this was gross......but figured it was worth a try.

1/4 brick silken tofu (can get at your supermarket in cold section)
200ml milk of your choice

Options for flavourings
1/2 banana
Chocolate Quick

Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth

This surprised me it had a light nutty taste to it - i just made a chocolate one, but it was certainly nice and great way to get some much need protein which is not easily done in this stage. I can see myself having one of these for brekky or lunch everyday during liquids.
